Pros

Our company was purchased by NetBoss Technologies and the transition team showed up with logo shirts and coffee mugs in hand to introduce themselves. They were friendly and interested in our work, and how we felt our work could be integrated into the existing NetBoss operations.

Cons

The acquisition started with only a seemingly random selection of half of the original work force invited to join NetBoss. After four and a half weeks of interrogation the remainder of the workforce, but for two lone survivors, was culled and let go after only six weeks.

Pros

The best part about working here was the initial growth opportunities that were presented during the creation of the new company in 2010. Unfortunately, it became quickly apparent that the opportunities only existed if you were part of the "club" or if you were willing to give up all semblance of a life by being willing to work and travel at a moment notice without any compensation, either financial or in the form of banked time off. Because of the companies financial situation, existing benefits were cut and the focus of upper management completely shifted to getting today's dollar no matter what the cost to the company reputation or loss of future business potential.

Cons

Company was spun off from a larger company as a private company by a group of investors in 2010 with hopes of a turn around in previous business trends. The new management wasted the opportunity presented to them by continuing poor the poor business practices that caused the previous company to shed them. There have been large annual layoffs every year since 2012 with most of the senior and more experienced (i.e higher paid) employees having been let go. The company has done poorly at attracting new customers and is reliant upon a shrinking existing customer base for new revenue.
