Not a good position for experienced hires. Not good for creative beauty lovers. - Associate Brand Manager Neutrogena Employee Review

Pros

Part of Johnson and Johnson. J&J has good values which they refer to as the "credo."

Cons

ABMs treated like pawns in most cases, esp with no marketing analysts. Very hierarchical and silo-d organization. Really archaic media and creative agency model and ideas. Innovation ideas and executional decisions are painfully slow given hierarchy and resource constraints despite being part of a ginormous company. Promotions and path to development is unclear. Growth is really relationship-based which is frustrating for those who prefer clear paths. If you are really interested and passionate in beauty, don't come here. Go somewhere where it's more scrappy and not owned by a giant pharma/medical company. Too much red tape here to make innovative launches and decisions.

Pros

Talented and fun people to work with. Place where risk taking and failure was ok as long as learnings were identified and applied to future endeavors.

Cons

At times, decisions were slow to come by which made it frustrating if one is woking with tight deadlines.
