Pros

Friendly staff, the company has a good vision in helping its members.

Cons

High stress job, their is a lot of turn over rates at Nevada Behavioral health in which that leads to case managers having heavy caseloads that are barley manageable. You have to utilize your own vehicles to transport clients to appointments and do house visits on your own. Expect to transport people that smell like fecies, urine, or currently with drawling from drugs. They will reimburse you for gas but still expect to rack up high mileage on your vehicle working here. No rules established, a employee got sexually harassed and inappropriately touched, all that supervisors will do is give that individual a warning. You are into Soap operas? Look no further, there is plenty of drama that goes around the case management office as employee conflict amongst one another is rather high. Outreach events, you will be assigned to do them, however they are always poorly planned and thought out.

Pros

The work itself was meaningful and impactful. Serving the homeless population and being part of efforts to improve lives was deeply rewarding. The mission gave purpose to the job, and the people we served made the challenges worthwhile.

Cons

Employees’ voices often go unheard, and there’s little to no clear direction despite high expectations. The tools and resources provided don’t match the demands of the job. Leadership can come across as dismissive or even rude. While board members benefit financially, the needs and well-being of frontline employees feel overlooked. For a company rooted in mental health, there’s a noticeable lack of care for staff’s mental health, work-life balance, and recognition.
