Pros
Only Pro is Newtek used to be a good place to work. It's now a sinking ship, and unless the stockholders shake up the company and terminate the corrupt and lackadaisical leadership, the company is going to go belly up soon. I find it interesting that the company tries to paint an image of itself being much bigger than it is. For that Newtek gets kudos for marketing because many people believe Newtek to be this huge company, which it really isn't but hey good job on that!
Cons
Turnover rate is horrendous and even laughable at this point. The average tenure at Newtek went from over a decade to less than 10 months in less than a year. It's actually hilarious and HR is begging anyone with experience to come back. But, nobody is going to come back to a toxic workplace where the CEO cusses, verbally beats up on people, throws people under the bus, and doesn't take responsibility for his poor executive decisions. There are far too many negatives to get into at Newtek. But, I'll summarize it as, bad goals, bad work environment, bad management, no feedback (you have to write your own review), I read one review where they said the first thing you'll be ask is, "Can you do his job?" - this is hilarious because it was exactly the first thing that I was asked. I should have took that as a hint that Newtek is as rotten as it gets. What a joke of a company, a joke of a leader, and the "managers" working there are all inexperienced and will do whatever they are told. Worse executive team I have ever seen. They can't hold on to customers, and they can't get new customers because nobody at Newtek knows what they are doing. It's just a mess, where does Newtek get it's money from? Oh, just do a quick google search and you'll find that they didn't EARN their finances, it was taken from taxpayers dollars. So, exactly what happened is the mentality of the leadership to look for the next quick and easy buck. The next con. And, when you run a real company you can't look for schemes like that and it shows that Newtek is a hollow shell of people who are nobody, because the leadership is not a trailblazer, not an innovator, and the company suffers from it. Hope the authorities continues their investigations.
