- Colleagues within specific teams are gems (although many are leaving) - Benefits package is pretty good
Cons
- Zero support or guidance given to managers. - Expanding your team is like drawing blood from a stone (unless you're on one *specific* team) - Aforementioned specific team has vastly inflated salaries (where some of their newer seniors were paid more than team leads) - Sales team will sell the world with no mind given to how much work it'll actually be - Most of the teams supporting this are *vastly* under-resourced and no amount of begging or pleading will change senior leadership's mind. In fact, they'll likely *cut* team sizes for zero reason. - Once the CEO (who can't even be bothered to learn how to say "Caerphilly" properly) has an idea in his head about you, no amount of evidence will sway him from that. - Senior leadership are completely uninterested in how the "boots on the ground" are doing until something (inevitably) blows up in people's faces. - Senior leadership are more focused on covering their own behinds when something does go wrong. - You'll be constantly fighting fires because there's absolutely no time given to tech debt, bug solving, etc. The CEO wants the new shiny, and he wants it now. - All the while, you and your team will only get "Cost of Living" (barely) salary increases (unless, again, you're on that one *specific* team), and even then you'll probably have to fight for it, and EVEN THEN you'll get it late.
