Pros

Great team with lots of enthusiasm, albeit mostly because the aim is to hire young people who can be molded, abused and made to grovel since they don't have other companies and experiences for comparison. Pay and benefits generous. Large training and development budget. State of the art facility with onsite gym and subsidized cafeteria. Entrepreneurial spirit among designers who have a unique opportunity to work very closely and intensely on the product development process.

Cons

The business runs on constant injections of money from the owner and there are no budgets... It's nothing like a real business. Terrible treatment of employees by owner; he expects to be venerated. Constantly changing plans and not remembering what he told employees, causing constant frustration and rework. Anyone who does not agree with management is eliminated swiftly. Safety measures are not in place with respect to working inside machinery and operating lift equipment.

Pros

I worked in the IT department in Athena Automation for 2 years full time, so my review focuses on the IT Department working environment 1. Best team an employee can ask for. 2. IT Manager is a lot of fun to work with. 3. Since the company is still in its startup phase, you can learn a ton of things with new technology being used in IT. 4. Amazing ideas floating around to make the business better. 5. In house cafeteria(subsidized) with in house chef is great. Overall, a wonderful experience working in such a team. I would go back to work there in a heartbeat.

Cons

Not a lot, but a couple of cons: 1. The salary package is a little under what it should be, and a result of that, good talent would switch jobs even though they wouldn't want to. 2. The owner can sometimes be a Micro manager, or change his decision on something, which makes the life of Engineers difficult.
