Pros

if you like frat houses turned sloppy logistics company with not 1 adult in the room, this place is for you

Cons

you are not valued if you are not a sales employee. and even if you are in sales it is extremely sink or swim environment. They will fire you if your numbers aren't hitting after a few months. you can make a few bucks in sales if you get lucky or are handed a golden goose account (yes, favoritism) but beyond that they will churn and burn you without a doubt to hit daily calls and your metrics, micromanagement is big in this regard. if you work in operations you have less risk but zero support. they do not expect you to stay at this job for more than a couple years at most and they will not pay you above market salary in any circumstance. they do not value the position and they don't have any framework for you to have a career in operations at NTG.

Pros

The people make work easier and enjoyable.

Cons

Logistics is constantly changing. This is not a company issue, but you have to be prepared to stay on your toes and adjust on the fly in this industry.

Pros

NTG was a place where I thought I would be long term. Working in the Dallas office, I genuinely felt like I had found a home. I enjoyed everyone I met and the friendships I made along the way. The memories I made with my hiring class are ones I’ll never forget. I sincerely hope our paths cross again. I’d also like to thank my managers for their exceptional leadership. I truly gained valuable skills that I’ll carry with me into my next role. The same goes for everyone I met in NTG’s Austin office during my visit.

Cons

As for the companies decision, I have a lot of thoughts. From my perspective, this came down to numbers on a spreadsheet. What wasn’t seen was the work that many of us put in behind the scenes during a very difficult market, often working stale accounts that had little chance of converting because of past relationships and mistakes. I strongly disagree with the decision. That said, I can honestly say I gave this job everything I had and more. I left it all on the field, and I’ll always be proud of that. Despite how things ended, I’m grateful for my experience at NTG, the people I met, and everything I learned along the way. I’m excited to see what I can accomplish in my next role and where this next chapter takes me.
