Pros

A couple of reasonable tier 2 brands, Paid base salary on time

Cons

Never expect Commission - targets are unattainable, if you smash it and exceed targets they will find ways to not pay you commission. No plan, no strategy, leadership from the 80s. Losing vendors constantly as there is no investment in resource and they expect to be fed by the vendors. Sales team are purely reactive order takers. In complete denial about the shocking state of their IT, pretend it is the first they have heard about it when a problem is highlighted. Minimum rewards and benefits possible offered. No progression opportunities.

Pros

Good people in the teams

Cons

The problem is the Senior management strategies, thinking and culture. Don't appreciate the knowledged people but "Yes Sir".

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you had a positive experience working with your team, and we truly appreciate you recognising the good people across the business. We are sorry, however, that your experience with senior management did not meet your expectations. We take comments around leadership, communication, and culture seriously. Over the past year we have been working on strengthening our management approach, encouraging open dialogue, and ensuring that all employees feel heard and valued — not just those who say “yes”. Feedback like yours is important in helping us continue to improve. We wish you all the best in your future career and thank you again for your contributions during your time with Northamber.

Pros

They pay money which is a pro…..

Cons

Time froze Northamber in the 90s! The Chairman is just hopeless and they seem to lose vendors at a rapid rate of knots! Such as shame to see a once legendary Distribution company slowly dying! Even the culture is 90s based and ‘HR’ seem to encourage it!
