      Strong teamwork across departments, good focus on patient care, leadership is visible and responsive, opportunities to grow if you show initiative, overall culture is respectful.

      Cons

      Fast-paced environment, can feel short-staffed at times, lots of priorities competing at once, some processes are still manual, parking/scheduling can be tight.

      Pros

      -some of the nurses on the floor were nice -gets your foot in the door with a hospital as a student -supportive management on the floor i was hired on

      Cons

      -low pay for what you put up with -was mainly working as a patient care tech as opposed to a nurse extern -nurses on the med/surg floors weren’t very nice and willing to help -don’t feel like i got enough training -the pre shift anxiety was horrendous
