Pros
I cannot think of a single positive thing to say about this place.
Cons
The owner of this company recently sent current and former employees threat of legal action if they leave negative reviews about Number 41 Media on this site or others. I think it's important to warn others, so I would like to reiterate my subjective opinion and experiences working at Number 41 Media. While I was working at Number 41 Media, management routinely threatened and humiliated their employees, causing the worst morale and poorest work environment I've ever encountered. For example, there was a sign posted in the kitchen threatening to fire employees for not doing their dishes. I found the overall atmosphere to be gloomy and depressing. The employees seemed apathetic and beaten down, probably because there are few jobs to be had in Victoria. I think Number 41 Media unfairly exploits this circumstance. Number 41 Media management acted in an unethical manner towards me by promising stable employment and benefits after 3 months "probation" and then reneging on this, saying they would have to extend the probation period because they were "not happy with the standard of my work." Their rationale behind this reasoning was absurd (I committed the crime of having reference books at my desk! I was not exhibiting enough outward signs of stress!). My opinion is that they were just trying to save money. Interesting that this insignificant operation found my work to be lacking, if you consider the fact that I immediately went on to became an internationally recognized leader in my field, consulting at Fortune 100 companies and have since received nothing but glowing reviews of my work -- but I guess Number 41 Media management possesses more business acumen than, say, Toyota, ING or Microsoft?
