Pros

If you work hard, you can advance possibly, store managers are usually great as mine was. Will work around family emergencies, do provide some incentives and benefits. Do provide commission for sales on counter. Giving good customer service opened to door to me getting my current job elsewhere. Relaxed dress code.

Cons

VERY low pay to start, may have to wait a long time to advance, have to be a manager of a store or have a slaried position to make acceptable pay. The hours are a rollercoaster ride being retail. Prepare to work every Saturday. In some geographic areas prepare to deal with language barriers. At times deal with customers who lack hygiene and knowledge. Beware of warranty fraud on customer's behalf. Training is very informal at times, not enough hands on. Upper managment often uses Big Brother is Watching you Tactics to see if employees are doing their job. Employees play other roles besides selling parts. Cleaning bathrooms, replacing lights and maintaining the store. TOO much paperwork in dealing with operations. Low pay causes a high turnover rate. Higher pay would keep competent employees. Employees at times may be required to travel to other stores to help do inventory. Employees responsible for buying shirts and maintaining them. Lifting heavy items such as batteries.

Pros

The catalog system is easy to use and technology wise they are pretty up to date, very simple and convenient

Cons

The hours suck, the pay sucks. The company only cares about profit it’s no different from autozone, they are able to sell parts for less compared to Napa because they pay the employees barely above minimum, they don’t like giving raises no matter how hard your work you have to basically be a store manager or higher to get a good pay. They open more stores to make more profit and keep employees at the bare minimum. It sucks working there I think if your ISS, which is wholesale, you can make decent money with that because they give a bigger bonus from the amount of sales you make plus less responsibility and better hours but thats if a position opens up and you’ll probably be there 4 plus years until you can get that position unless you’re lucky and one opens up in the area.
