Pros

Felt like being in high school again. But the best perk of working at Oreily's is the discounts you get on purchasing auto parts your self - and you can even use your employee account to give discounts to your family and friends... Every body or at least most people take advantage of this perk (even my old manager)

Cons

Minimum wage - No increase opportunities in pay raise. Male dominated. My last manager actually spoke openly about his hiring prospects as he would only hire males (no women). Prejudice towards minorities. Never cry out or call HR department claiming "sexual harassment" because when the cavalry comes to investigate instant 'retaliation consequences emerge'. You will be transferred to another store - and no consequences will be impended on your harasser especially if they were in management. Overall this may be a good gig for a high school student who is taking a shop class or college student interested in mechanic work.

Pros

The catalog system is easy to use and technology wise they are pretty up to date, very simple and convenient

Cons

The hours suck, the pay sucks. The company only cares about profit it’s no different from autozone, they are able to sell parts for less compared to Napa because they pay the employees barely above minimum, they don’t like giving raises no matter how hard your work you have to basically be a store manager or higher to get a good pay. They open more stores to make more profit and keep employees at the bare minimum. It sucks working there I think if your ISS, which is wholesale, you can make decent money with that because they give a bigger bonus from the amount of sales you make plus less responsibility and better hours but thats if a position opens up and you’ll probably be there 4 plus years until you can get that position unless you’re lucky and one opens up in the area.
