Very Good Company - Engineer OCR Labs Employee Review

Having worked at a few large reputable companies, this place is well placed to be be a super star in the future There are a few reviews here but truly Kudos to Matt Adams, the Head of Tech a true genius. You only meet a few people like him in a lifetime. Being able to handle all the tech items we have from a core offering is outstanding. The product engineering team are also remarkable.

Various timezones reporting into Australia is difficult. Clash between agenda of overseas GM's which is evident, they have their own agenda's. In each others meetings they just don't show interest in each others work.

I have worked for many big companies in international firms as data scientist (i.e. Watrix, DeepBrain etc) and have dual PHD in research and artificial augmentation but OCR is more unique than all. It is actually very much like University researching and this is a place where they let me focus on very challenging tasks and have pride in my work. Mr Adam, CTO is a genius guy maybe his IQ is over 200, we all respect him much and it is great honour to see his mind in our industry BUT he very strict as others say but has care for company and all members. It is honour to work for this company and technology. If you want to change the world it is place to work. Pay is VERY good, double of industry in some role because they want to keep good people I think.

- Early morning meetings with management team - Always need to book for our data processing machines it is real issue company needs to solve. Actually please solve this issue we can be more productive. - Too short of probation period to show true worth fo research. - Not enough holiday periods observed
