Pros

1. Super strong support directly from the founder 2. Promotion could be very quick if you really deliver 3. Move very fast, unbelievable speed comparing to big firms like Facebook, Google, or Amazon 4. Engineers are strong and have good experience at big firms (FAANG, Tiktok, Uber, Lyft, Paypal, eBay, Stripe, Snap and etc) 5. Many areas are just at the beginning of development and not hard to make impacts 6. You might get some degree of financial freedom if the company goes IPO (a long dream though) 7. Internal collaboration tool is very efficient 8. Lots of events like team building, happy hour, offsite, and etc. 9. Nice snack area, nice benefits perks

Cons

1. Again moving fast (both pros and cons for some people). If you get used to stable and slow pace, you may find it difficult to fit 2. It is a Chinese dominant company. Even many internal docs are mixed with English and Chinese. Although it does not pose reading issues for non-Chinese speaker, it may cause issues of weak belongings. 3. The higher level you are, the worse WLB is. Some regular international meetings are most likely needed in the evenings. 4. Many processes are not that formal, you may have collaboration challenges with your XFN partners. If you step up, you shine. If you wait, you had endless headaches. 5. RTO policy. If you are not in the bay area, you better relocate.
