Pros
-flexible hours -Summer Fridays -10 paid holidays -Company holiday party & company picnic
Cons
-no training, manager is responsible for showing you all processes and systems -no training programs to help develop existing skills -old systems, web based microsoft outlook -old office space With how busy the catalog business is, there really should be a structured training program in place to teach new hires how to work the systems and the processes involved. It took a whole year to finally get comfortable with the system I use on a daily basis. This lack of training lead to many inefficiencies with my daily work. Your manager is responsible for showing you how everything works, which isn't ideal with the tight deadlines of the catalog business. Used to have Lotus Notes for email and then transitioned to web based Outlook. I don't understand why companies don't just invest in full Mircosoft Outlook. There is an app available with the web based outlook, but we are not provided company phones to use. We have to install it on our personal phone if we want to utilize and use our own data and are not compensated for it. Office space is old and outdated. No room in the cubicles to effectively do your work. Samples & people are everywhere!!
