Pros

I like representing a company whose products meet a real need. It's also nice that I have enough freedom to manage my accounts. My schedule is flexible, so I can plan outreach and follow-ups in a way that works for me. I've become skilled at explaining complex technical features in simple terms, which makes conversations with clients much easier. A shoutout here to the engineering team, who provide invaluable help and training — thanks to these fantastic people, I no longer dread technical questions.

Cons

The sales cycle is long, which requires patience and careful pipeline management.

Pros

Plenty of opportunities to build my sales skills. The tasks are varied, from qualifying leads and running product demos to preparing proposals. It never gets repetitive or boring. Stress-free collaboration with marketing, production, and engineering teams. I also like the fact that the company aims to improve access to healthcare, instead of just trying to hit a quota.

Cons

Targets are high, so make sure you’re comfortable with working hard and performing well.

Pros

When I accepted the position, I expected a traditional sales job. Instead, I spend much of my time learning about mobile medical facilities and understanding how customers plan to use them. This job has expanded my knowledge of industries I knew very little about before. I've also become much more confident discussing complex products with customers.

Cons

Detailed proposals require lots of prep time.
