There are a couple cons, when this company was staples i did have more hours. which is a shame.
Some of the customers you deal with can be very rude and demanding.
sometimes you don't get enough time to finish jobs on busy days so you have to tell the customers to come back later and quite often they don't like that.
Alot of customers complain about office outlet being expensive.
Pushing copy centre is quite difficult, you ring up existing customers informing them off promo and for the majority of the time it doesn't work. I think recently they have asked staff to go onto the shop floor and traffic stop customers with copy and print promo. That's fine if your confident, but I have anxiety so i did find this to be challenging i suppose its just about how confident you are.
customers WILL ask you to design stuff for them or type something up. Don't. you are not required to. they have a design service, although nobody really wanted to use it normally people want it then and there.
I learnt this the hard way.
also people come in and have things set up incorrectly and you have to faff on for ages sorting it , and if you say sorry i cant do that for you, customers do tend to get annoyed. So just be prepared.
you work the tills and copy centre at the same time, some days there is just 1 person on copy centre and it can be frustrating when you have customers that require printing and customers that require serving at the tills, i often found that other staff members where too busy to help or sometimes when they could help It was just people just wanting printing so there was nothing they could do to actually help.
