Pros
The work itself can be interesting, and the team members are generally talented and well-intentioned. There is real potential here if leadership and culture were addressed.
Cons
The work environment is dominated by abusive and unprofessional leadership behavior. Senior leadership frequently singles out individuals in meetings, raises their voice, and uses public criticism as a management style. These interactions are not only demoralizing but also deeply unproductive they shut down collaboration, creativity, and honest communication.
Meetings often feel unsafe rather than constructive. Instead of focusing on problem-solving or progress, much of the energy goes into managing around leadership’s mood and trying not to become the next target. This creates constant stress, fear of speaking up, and extremely high burnout.
There is little accountability for this behavior, and HR support is either ineffective or nonexistent when it comes to addressing leadership conduct.
