Pros

The pay is pretty good and the hours are very flexible so for someone travelling as I was it's a perfect role if you're built for that sort of work. The building and view across the harbour is fantastic. Free tea and coffee all day and periodically there will be free lunches provided. Beers after work on a Friday is obviously good fun.

Cons

The job role itself is very monotonous and the work day tends to drag a lot. Training is sort of basic but inexplicably relied upon as gospel. If you try to think outside the box and tweak your pitch to something that works better, you will be pulled up on it and told to revert to script and to follow your instructions. The management similarly use this to bash you. Not making enough sales? Follow the script! Objection handle properly. Customers are treated as commodities regardless of financial situation to the point where sales reps almost look down on them.

Cons

A very boring job that consists of repeating the same thing over and over again for hours.
