Pros

The people that work for OpenSymmetry are generally a nice group of guys. If you are a graduate it is a very good company to learn the consultancy trade and pick up some technologies that will be very useful (SQL, XML, etc).

Cons

If you are a hard working and committed consultant who is willing to do "whatever it takes" to get the job done, then that will be appreciated......and used for all it is worth with very little appreciation shown financially. The business OS works in is enabling sales people to be motivated by money and reward. Unfortunately they don't take on this philosophy internally and consultants end up paying for a top heavy, well paid management structure. If you like watching internal sales people get rewarded for selling solutions that will give the client "more bangs for their buck" while you are expected to provide the "bangs" by working 16 hour days and weekends....then this is the place to work.

Pros

Professional Services leadership as well as the CEO are genuine and thoughtful people who support their people and have their heads in the right place. You get a consistent experience from all manager via thoughtful planning and organization from Talent/HR Departments. It's a great place to level up and understand the SPM space as a whole.

Cons

Sales are extremely inconsistent causing instability.

Pros

Fake nice Not very strict

Cons

I worked at Opensymmetry and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Compensation was below industry standards, and when I was promoted to a senior role, the salary increase was only 2% — far from what would be expected for the added responsibility. Bonuses were inconsistent, and in many cases, never actually provided. The workplace culture was also very unhealthy. There was frequent mobbing and mistreatment, but many employees were too afraid to speak up because of potential consequences. This created a toxic environment that made it difficult to feel supported or valued. On top of that, HR was not transparent. After I resigned voluntarily, I later found out they falsely told my new employer that I had been fired, which was completely untrue and unprofessional. Overall, Opensymmetry does not offer fair pay, a healthy work environment, or honesty in their management practices. I cannot recommend this company and low pay comparing to the market
