Pros

Hard to pick any - but, office space wasn't bad for a small Plymouth company and the pay was competitive for Plymouth.

Cons

1. Poisonous, negative culture of backstabbing and politics that stem from the top down 2. Regimented office environment, where employees are forced to act like school children 3. Senior Leadership that can be incredibly micromanaging and inconsistent 4. Lack of freedom or creativity in how we were allowed to manage our clients. Pros

Due to hiring staff from the owner's football team, there was initially a great working environment, humor, togetherness and general good vibes. 9/10 employees were allowed a company car. You'd get a minimum bonus regardless of performance. You were encouraged to go to London to meet clients and affiliates to help grow OPM's presence in London and the affiliate industry. Company benefits was introduced which provided the team with a salary sacrifice for gym membership, free cinema tickets, coffee etc.

Cons

Unfortunately, the place has limited opportunities to grow, this can result in back-stabbing in order to step over people to reach limited career progression. The CEO micro-manages the team, there is one working process and you mus adhere to it. This limits creativity, autonomy and the ability to master your skill. There is no professional development road-mapping, and staff aren't encouraged to learn, train or grow their skills - it's one way or the highway. There is favoritism and special treatment. There is a lack of respect from SMT to the wider team regarding skills and effort put in to grow the business. Nothing is done to stop negativity within the workplace, which has manifested rapidly to contribute to a very hard place to work. Communication to specific members of the team, predominantly female was not professional and will land the company in trouble one day.
