Pros
I work with a great team of highly qualified nurses. Patient education and safety are our top priority. My immediate manager, while remote, is always available to help with problem solving and thinking outside the box to get a patient taken care of in the safest manner possible. I know she believes in us and trusts our judgement. The benefits are good. The compensation is great. The opportunity to educate patients in the hospital and see them become independent with a highly technical process utilizing a well orchestrated discharge plan is very rewarding.
Cons
We had a change in management at the branch level resulting in some employees having to change processes and old ways of thinking leading to some employee turnover. I wouldn’t necessarily say this is a con because these things needed to happen, it has just been a process getting the right people in place and being temporarily short staffed.
