Pros

The flexibility from working at home is AMAZING! That aside, all my coworkers are phenomenally kind, helpful, fun, and professional. I'm never afraid to ask questions as I know everyone is incredibly nice. My manager (and other managers I've spoken with) are informative and proactive in helping move any task forward when needed. There is room to progress my career forward if I want, but also a need at my level that allows me to feel comfortable staying where I am until I'm ready to push forward. I've been with Optiv for nearly 3 months and have had nothing but a fantastic experience. Yes, it can be stressful. Yes, it can get frustrating. Yes, my job can prove difficult from time to time. But that's another part of what makes this position great. There isn't much fun in a job that doesn't bring a challenge!

Cons

Health benefits could be better. No real PTO in this position; they have implemented a plan called Recharge, which from my understanding is simply unpaid time off and is unlimited.

Thank you very much for sharing your perspective on working at Optiv! We are very glad to hear you enjoy work-life balance, flexibility, and amazing co-workers. You’re right, there are many opportunities for growth and career development, so keep propelling forward! One thing we wanted to make sure you are aware of is that our Recharge program offers unlimited PAID time off. At Optiv, we understand that all work and no play leads to burnout and slow growth. We’re not interested in either. So take the time you need to refresh and recharge! Thanks again for taking the time out of your busy work day to share your thoughts, and keep soaring!

Pros

Unlimited PTO Supportive Management Depending on who you get Good work life balance as long as you don't take the job with you after hours Work from Home Hands on Training - could still use improvement Annual pay increase

Cons

2 layoffs in a year when they keps saying everything was fine.... Laying off core contributors so now everyone who is left is doing the work of 2-3 people and not being compensated accordingly Only way to get a worth while pay increase is to move up in the company the annual increases are not inline with inflation or cost of living
