Pros

Best part is the cool coworkers, fun customers, and the fantastic medical plan.

Cons

Oddly corporate/capitalist environment for an art supply company which advertises itself as providing an excellent customer service and a positive/rewarding work environment. It's a shame how much pressure is placed on employees of all levels. Sales associate level and floor leader level work is relatively lowkey, but I would seriously consider ever moving into admin/management positions. Deadlines and projects are regularly arbitrary or nonsensical. Therapy was suggested when I brought up ways of receiving training/support in my job. At the time, I did not need mental health support, I needed support pertaining to my job.

Pros

Amazing staff, you will learn a lot, get to test and be surrounded by art supplies.

Cons

No growth, if you try and get a raise (which is only offered after a year) they will most likely tell you your wage is fixed. You will have to fight for a wage increase just to be denied no matter how hard you work. You will be doing the absolute most for minimum pay. They will play favouritism for employees that don't stand up or question injustices. They present themselves to be wholesome and care about others but it's all a brand, they are just as corporate as any big chain you've ever worked for and all they care about is protecting their bottom line.

Pros

- Great coworkers - Working in inventory keeps you busy - Customers are mostly nice, overall atmosphere of the store is good especially if you are a creative person - You can to try out products for free sometimes and make demo artwork

Cons

- Management can be a bit vague - The pay is low compared to what they expect from you - For inventory specifically it can be easy to get stressed and burnt out
