Pros
Typical chatbot work dealing with client requirements
Cons
For your career, I wouldn't choose this place. It could have been a good company, but in reality, engineers' opinions and contributions often take a back seat. There's a strong focus on optics and showcasing work, while engineering judgment isn't valued as much as it should be.
Management seems to believe that AI tools can easily replace engineering expertise, while the PM team is given disproportionate influence despite lacking a solid understanding of how to build and run products. When things go wrong, engineers often end up being blamed, and management tends to encourage that culture rather than address the root issues.
People may be friendly in person, but the support doesn't always carry over into internal discussions. There's also a pattern of frequent layoffs roughly a few rounds each year, which creates a lot of uncertainty. Overall, there was a lack of direction and accountability, and that's not an environment I'd recommend for long-term growth.
