Pros

Many incredibly talented scientists, engineers, and support staff that remain open and easy to work with despite operating under tight deadlines and incompetent management.

Cons

Abusive managers and ineffective HR. If you want to get shouted at by middle managers deflecting blame for their own inability to succeed, this is the place for you. On reporting they won’t be moved on, you will. Save yourself some time and avoid.

I’m pleased you recognised the talent and dedication of our teams—this is something I’ve already seen and value greatly. At the same time, the concerns you’ve raised about management approach are important and are being taken seriously. A key focus for me is strengthening leadership capability across the organisation, with clear expectations around accountability, communication, and how we support our people day to day.
