Pros
Payment was made fast and reliable Payment cycle is only one week It is not too difficult to be onboarded Training material is concise and professional
Cons
The website outlier.ai is apparently run by former Remotask as a US Delaware Inc. company under a different company registration name and therefore does not require any legal venue, business address can be any Mail Box, no imprint on outlier.ai. It will be difficult to take them to court if necessary, especially if you live outside the USA. If you live in an EU Member State, it will even be illegal to work for them as they apparently do not have a VAT / Tax ID or EIN. Training material is not paid time. Doing preliminary test projects will be paid only 50%. I worked for them several weeks, and then was removed from all accounts just like that, although my average QA rating was rated by the client as good, very good and excellent. They kept bullying me and shooting me emails with false allegations of using illegal scripts to do my work automatically. This false allegation is absurd. If there were any scripts to do the prompt writing and testing by AI, why would they hire people to do this remaining piece of human labour manually? Finally, the manager who bullied me admitted that he did it "preliminary", that means without justification. The manager, as any of the support agents and regional managers and QAM do not have a surname, you cannot google them and of course, never make a legal complaint. Bonus payments are often fake if they promise over $100, Ok. they may pay a bonus fee of $35 for week-end work. They promised me to pay $225 for doing more than 40 "tasks", but then refused to payout the bonus as I did 40 tasks in less than 16 hours, although this was even faster than expected. Scammy and empty promises. This company is really an uncanny valley, stay away if you can. Maye it is good for making a quick buck if you're broke and really need the money. No real perspective given, no professional development, just a hire and fire.
