Pros
Working at Ovative introduced me to some incredible human beings. The amount of intelligence and passion here is infinite. I stand behind the stance that you won’t find a greater collective of individuals. Dale is an amazing leader. Never have I interacted with a CEO that has a true “in the trenches” mentality. If your new to Digital Media you’ll get robust hands on experience that will elevate your career and work experience. Resume padding opportunity galore. 10/10 culture. You certainly put in what you get out but if you want to make some life long friends this is the place for you.
Cons
This is unfortunately the area which led to the headline of this review. Ovative is not all sunshine and rainbows. If you’re someone on the fence from an experienced perspective I hope this review gives you a foundation within your decision. Others have mentioned this but burnout is a true occurrence. Every agency has a time period that with ineffective management leads to employee burnout but Ovative hasn’t cracked the code. Additional growth has led to a “you can be replaced” mentality. Growth has led to a new working body of “warm bodies”. The collective of Ovative employees pre growth were in my opinion mostly consisted of highly intelligent experts within the field. This new growth has led to people (especially management) in several positions that they’re severely inexperienced for. Favoritism and nepotism runs rampant. If you’re not in favor here you will not succeed.
