Management fails at communication, customer service, and transparency. You are told the starting wage is not negotiable... and standard, it's not. The wages between employees hired around the same time with the same responsibility are often unjustly different. Management cowers behind the "well, this is way we do it" mentality, and they have shown time-again... they are more willing to rehire and train someone new than give someone an earned raise in pay and responsibility. Don't expect management to stay as long each day as the subordinates either. Also, there is no formal or informal 1-on-1 review time for employees. As a result, employees don't have understanding of concerns, timelines, goals, or expectations. These are the people responsible to communicate with high-value customers?!
