Pros

If you are passionate about animal rights, PETA can be a wonderfully rewarding organization to work for. They allow for, and encourage, creativity and new ideas - all of my coworkers are amazing and truly great to work with.

Cons

The pay is incredibly low (understandable - as the money should be going to help animals, but frustrating because jobs elsewhere will often pay you 20-50% more), and there isn't great room for growth. Often most people stick out the low pay because they are passionate about the the cause and feel fulfilled knowing they are making a difference...but, if you aren't passionate about animal rights, you'd probably be happier making real money elsewhere.
