Pros

Outstanding accelerated training about the industry. Get a full view of how logistics works. Great entry level pay. Perfect starter logistics job for the training alone, but in no way a long term company.

Cons

They kind of throw a bunch of "stuff" against the wall and sees what sticks. They bring in 10-25 trainees at once every three months or so and over time they drop like flies. Some have "performance issues"and get fired, some quit due to stress, people got fired for complaining about the company over the IM. Sometimes they fire people because they hired too many people during a poor month of margins (when they like to use the term "performance issues"). They set tough sales goals for people that have been in the industry for less than a year.

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
