Pros

Excellent benefits Friends for life have been made

Cons

HR needs to take a better look at what is going on ... when a business unit has had the majority of their FTEs leave (75% of whom were either women or employed for 5 plus years), something is drastically wrong. Middle management leave a lot to be desired. Each division has their own IT department - Corp & Life appear to have their act together, however RSD does not. RSD has been allowed to create mini empires among managers & directors who have no business in those positions because they lack training, people skills, knowledge and experience. When you have inexperienced managers pushing low level employees ahead of senior employees, who have put in the time and effort to move up. Only to be told, that "I don't care how long you have been here, I don't promote people unless I want to!" shows obvious discrimination and favoritism. And everyone that has been hired within the last 2.5 years are all the same type of people - inexperienced. But the manager wants you to give away your knowledge and skill set in order to train them to do the work at hand. Middle and upper management are cognizant of what is occurring and "trust that the decisions their managers and directors make are the right ones". PL has a culture issue within RSD that needs to be addressed and until that is done, they will always have a high turnover rate.

Pros

What I'm most grateful for is my team and the culture. Pacific Life is full of supportive, knowledgeable, encouraging, and just genuinely great people. I feel challenged, appreciated, and lucky to be a part of this culture.

Cons

In-person requirement of four days a week is not consistent. There is lots of flexibility with that, though.

Pros

Great benefits and great team members!

Cons

The Return to Office policy is driving away one of our talented team members. Blindsided by reorgs. No polls done to determine what is best for our team.
