Pros
There are some really good eggs in the business, and the work can be very interesting. The business is doing well, and that's exciting!
Cons
Ultimately, politics trumps performance - so keep your head down. "Don't be too bold or act too wise". There are some very vindictive senior managers who don't like being shown up - and there are no counterbalances to them - so you have to be careful all the time. Intelligence is not tolerated if you're not part of the 'insider' group.
