Pros

-Great discount (75% off/ 60% off depending on the item) -Opportunities to be creative (styling, bracelet builds etc) -Get to be around great product (if you're into jewelry) -Good customer interactions for the most part -Good benefits if you're full time

Cons

-Upper management is VERY out of touch! They expect so much out of store teams with very little guidance and leadership. -Hours get cut but the workload stays the same. -No room for growth/ upper management doesn't encourage growth past store manager. -No work/life balance.. you're expected to be on 24/7. -Policies change at the drop of a dime with little to no communication regarding the changes. -Theres hardly any training for anyone below store manager level -Every year, there are new "company wide" strategies introduced... instead of building on what they taught us the year prior, they change the entire strategy in order to hopefully see "improvement" in sales.... -Selling tactics are very "one size fits all".... no 2 stores are the same/have the same clientele so why are your selling tactics so cookie cutter? :/ -Company recently "restructured" and got rid of a bunch of positions they once had.. this led to a lot of hard working individuals losing their livelihood. In my opinion, they wanted to cut costs for stores while still collecting big bonuses at the top. -They expect SMs to juggle training, hiring, firing, delegating, tasking, selling, enforcing policies, visuals, standards, customer interactions, accountability, tech issues, maintenance issues, other random problems that may arise ETC... all while barely having a staff because of the hours cuts and the "restructuring." -Not very people focused... you're only as good as how your store is doing. if your stores performance slips, you're treated poorly. -Bonuses cut in half for SMs this year. (max bonus for my store went from $1400 to $700).

Pros

Easy scheduling, often works with vacations and time off requests to the best of ability including extended emergency time off, held jobs and re-hired as business allowed. Opportunities for monthly bonuses and commission on certain product; store manager does push for sales targets but also encourages and incentivizes wins and celebrations. Often brings snacks and drinks for the team. Contributed to a lot of the sales herself and always champions the wins for the store. Has won a few Pandora contests since I’ve worked there and taken the team out for events and fun activities to bond with, fill the fridge etc. Store manager is quirky but can tell enjoys the job. Would work here again.

Cons

Less room for advancement since it’s a franchise but always cross-training for future benefit

Pros

Customers, pay, benefits. That’s it

Cons

Little to no training. Instead of allowing me to complete all of my online training courses I was directed to constantly shadow staff on the sales floor. I wasn’t properly shown how to use the scheduling system or given the how to guides within proper timing. So I was trained on how to be a sales associate not a store manager. Then thrown into my permanent location during Valentine’s holiday. So I had to learn a lot in a short amount of time with no real help or guidance. District manager was very overwhelming and overbearing. Highschool mined staff who start drama and rumors. Staff also had a major entitlement issue, someone wanted the manger position but didn’t get it I guess. No one is genuine there or trying to help you as a new manager. There’s a strict phone policy however, main comms happen on your phone so the policy is highly contradictory. If you’re not overly chipper and a yes man your Dm won’t like you and may say something like “I don’t think you’re a good fit here” after your first meeting, they make you feel very uncomfortable. It was so bad the Macys workers would ask me if I was ok when my Dm wasn’t around!! The energy is really bad here RUN!
