Pros
Significant exposure to hedge funds, private equity, and VC with large AUM/notable investors. Great opportunity to learn valuable skills such as financial reporting/accounting, excel proficiency, and database management (SQL, VBA, Power Query). Very fun culture, most of the associates/sr. assoc. are in their 20s. Laid back vibe despite the fact that people work extremely hard there. Many of the former employees transitioned to work at a fund or investment bank, so the job is a great stepping stone.
Cons
Potentially long hours, especially as you gain more responsibility. Very deadline-oriented so it can be stressful at times. Dealing with demanding and often critical fund managers and investors. This is also a back-office position, so you will not be making or contributing to investment decisions.
