Pros
No pros at all. Full of toxicity. Environment is poisonous. Full of uncultured People.
Cons
The management culture is deeply toxic and creates a persistently stressful, demotivating environment.
Following the recent acquisition by Genus, many managers appeared to become highly insecure about their own positions. This manifested in practices such as unfairly negative performance evaluations for subordinates, seemingly aimed at protecting managerial roles by positioning others for potential termination or redundancy.
There is a noticeable lack of support for employee growth and development within teams — opportunities for advancement or skill-building are rarely encouraged or facilitated. Additionally, patterns of favoritism were evident, particularly along cultural or national lines (e.g., preferential treatment toward colleagues from certain backgrounds, including Indian-origin managers favoring Indian-origin team members). This contributed to feelings of exclusion, unfair treatment, and a lack of merit-based progression for others.
Overall, the workplace lacks psychological safety, genuine collaboration, and inclusive leadership. The environment felt poisonous, with high levels of stress, low morale, and limited trust between management and staff.
I am extremely relieved to have left this organization. I would not recommend it to anyone seeking a healthy, fair, or growth-oriented workplace. Prospective employees should thoroughly investigate current culture and management practices through multiple independent sources before considering joining.
