Pros
My colleagues were kind people who came to work in Sofia from all regions of the country. The office space is quite nice. There was home office during the pandemic but not anymore.
Cons
Even if the positions in Sofia are advertised as "data analyst", "KYC analyst" or "AML analyst", and the company - as a "KYC factory". It works on the factory principles indeed. The truth is, that all vacancies are exclusively related to transaction monitoring. So if you're pursuing a career in AML/CTF/KYC, turn to another company. 1.The job is extremely stressful which is not worth it for this salary. The office in Sofia "grades" you as a professional on the grounds of how many cases you did per day and if you achieved the impossible daily targets. It is dehumanizing and doesn't take into account what you can actually bring to the table besides, well, achieved target. It's no different than being a line worker in a factory. 2. You find yourself in a new team, doing something completely different from what you were just trained on, on daily basis. Confusion and lack of understanding is what reads on everyone's face which is alright once in a blue moon, but not every day. There is no logic in the change of processes and ideas for improvement are not appreciated. It's impossible to feel satisfaction from your good work if you don't know what you're doing. You will spot rather unintelligent people progressing to QCs. If you think, use your brain and analyze what is being told to you, you're bound to fail. 3. Most team leads obviously lack leadership skills and shy away from responsibilities. 4. Passcon is owned by AMLRS so think twice if U.S. business culture is not your cup of tea
