Pros

The learning curve here has been great and rewarding. I work alongside smart and driven colleagues at the intersection of IP law and AI—challenging, impactful work where you can feel the collective sense of purpose. We’re growing quickly, which means real opportunity to shape the company and advance. The culture is supportive and collaborative. The founders push us to reach our potential while caring about wellbeing—they’ve implemented ME days and encourage using benefits. Leadership listens, makes changes based on feedback, and maintains transparency about our direction including in the office and at our monthly all hands. You get real ownership without micromanagement, but with guidance and course-correction when needed. As a scaling Series A company, you’re helping build something in real time. Everyone, including leadership, is focused on continuous improvement.

Cons

This is startup life with all that entails, and we’re growing quickly. There are growing pains as we scale—high expectations and ambiguity as we build structure on the fly. Work-life balance can be challenging during periods where we are pushing to achieve revenue and product objectives. You need to be self-directed and comfortable with autonomy in a changing environment. If you prefer established processes and clear guardrails at every step, this isn’t the right fit. You should be excited about the mission and comfortable with change.
