Pros

Pay is decent for the area. Benefits are pretty much standard, but they still have an old school, employer provided pension.

Cons

Management culture is 100% CYA and does not nurture employees. Staff reductions, reduced raises, losing vacation days, and other employee targeted cost cutting are the first and only tool that executives use when there are money issues. However, they will continue to pay themselves huge bonuses, and even add more high comp executive positions during money crunch time, even while they are walking long time employees out the door. Training is non-existent. Career growth is also non-existent. Prepare to spend your entire career with the same job title if you want to stay here. Working conditions are also substandard in terms of space and the tools needed to do the job. Management hides behind a "it's all about the patients" line whenever any legitimate complaints are voiced. Management is wildly inconsistent when it comes to policies and treatment of employees. It's obvious that the exec staff cares more about their own career and personal profile in the business than they are about the community they serve. Almost all of exec staff are not from the area and have no problem leaving to go to a better area when the well of gold runs dry here. CEO promotes herself more than the organization. The campus is filthy and in a high crime area.
