Pros

Great 401K and benefits. Education assistance. PTO payout. Some opportunities to learn and advance in your career. Looks good on a resume, that’s about it.

Cons

Bullying from RNs that had been there longer & were jaded. Favoritism from management & leadership with certain RNs - would give unfair assignments & the “sick” patients to the favorites. Continual problem with staffing and not enough help, aids are lazy and RNs do literally everything. On the IMC side, you’d have 3 total care patients and most other RNs are unwilling to help reposition, majority of the time I felt like I was neglecting my patients if one was more complicated than another. Neurosurgery residents are disrespectful to say the ABSOLUTE LEAST - ignore text pages & calls when their patients are on the IMC side of the unit. When there was a charge nurse on the IMC side, they would sit the entire day & text, rather than help. Management was told countless times, but nothing ever changed. The turnover rate is extremely high as the unit is hard to work on - RNs are not very welcoming or willing to help you learn. Management and Educator are straight up rude when critiquing individuals when they’re on orientation, to the point that they make you cry.

Pros

Decent company to work for depending on your department. Benefits and pay are average, enjoy(d) what I do each day and my peers were supportive.

Cons

We recently began losing a lot of great technicians over the last year. HR doesn’t hold management accountable for policies involving harassment and retaliation. Our department was always top notch but began failing significantly beginning in 2025. Now everyone is leaving or being fired for unwarranted reasons. Growing concerns over outsourcing due to lack of accountability in management.
