Pros
Before I get into the Pros of my experience at PeopleFinders.com, I do want to note that I was fortunate that PeopleFinders allowed me to be a remote employee for close to 5 years, though I did visit the Sacramento office regularly for meetings and fun outings. Now for the Pros: - Extremely intelligent and knowledgeable people that have been with the company for a very long time, with many well over 5 years. With low turnover in most full-time positions, everyone is on the same page with common goals from the CEO down. - Many employees have families (with kids) and the company does a great job with work/family balance. However, this is an internet-based company, which runs 24/7. So there will be times when working outside "normal" working hours is required, more so for engineers of course. - Benefits were outstanding compared to previous positions I was at. Great medical, dental, vision, PTO accrual schedule, etc. - The quality and quantity of data obtained and provided by the Company was top priority and improving regularly. With being a "Public Records" company in this time, there is an expectation for data to be available nearly instantly, which PeopleFinders is pretty much the best at compared to competitors. - There are yearly discretionary bonuses. - You will learn a LOT at this company. It doesn't matter how much you already know about any particular technology or program. You will learn more than you think as long as you have an open mind. You will also teach people more than you thought you would. There really aren't any egos in company. They are just as eager to get better as you are.
Cons
Again, disclosing that I was a remote employee. - There really weren't any Cons per se. The only slightly negative item I really experienced in my time at PeopleFinders (and why I am no longer there) is the lack of upward and/or horizontal movement opportunities. This isn't a fault of the Company, I believe it's simply due to how small/tight-knit the company is. There are no extra heads.
