Working here I felt like I was being emotionally manipulated. If I wasn’t arriving at 6am and staying till 7, I wasn’t being there enough for the kids. I was once told that the only way we would work in a successful school was if we all did a little bit more than what our job description was, and that whenever you’re feeling overwhelmed or overworked, to just think about how much the kids needed me to do xyz. Mental health was no the priority.
