Cons
I wasn't actually an employee at this organization, However, the interview process revealed very unprofessional and problematic behavior. I applied for an Executive Assistant position and was contacted by the employer to say that given my experience, I'd be perfect for a new, higher-paying role they were in the process of finalizing. PR Manager. They asked me to work "temporarily" as an administrative assistant for peanuts until they had finished getting my new, high-paying PR Manager role approved by the Board. I told them I would happily come on as a temporary EXECUTVE Assistant (the job I originally applied for and was apparently too qualified for) if they paid me at the Exec. Assistant rate. They kept pushing back with my recruiter until she advised me to sever ties with the company. Apparently, this is a common tactic used by companies to get cheap work out of overqualified professionals for 3-4 months at a time, stringing them along with the promise of a more appropriate, higher-paying job right around the corner. The recruiting company I was working with also dropped PGW as a client. They also mentioned several times during the interview process that the company culture was "like a family" and expected employees to put their work before personal life. Red flag.
