First and foremost, I would not recommend Philz to anyone living with a disability. I found that my store leader was incredibly dismissive when it came to any minor accommodations I needed to succeed in the role. In general, I found store leadership to be unorganized and unsupportive. Shift leads & baristas pick up a lot of slack on a daily basis and aren’t compensated fairly. The mobile ordering system can be a nightmare to work with and Philz corporate seems to be doing very little in revamping the system despite the urging of Philz staff & customers. Don’t get your hopes up about much schedule flexibility as mentioned in the job description. Most of these issues can be chalked up to working for a chain coffee shop like Philz, so maybe that’s a con in and of itself.
