Pros

- Insane potential for growth - Support mission critical problems across national security - Do things only a few others in the world get to do - Inspiring, kind, and hardworking team - Really cool unconventional office (desks on a factory floor type-of-deal), with good souls around you - Receptive leadership that actually listens to feedback

Cons

- Like any other start-up, management is trying to establish swim lanes and SOPs while also staying scrappy and small. These are expected growing pains, and can conflict with each other. - Leadership has made the mistake of hiring the wrong personalities some times, particularly on the engineering side of the house. Doesn't matter if they're a good engineer. If they're not a team player committed to the mission, they should get the door.

Pros

Picogrid is a rapidly growing startup headquartered in El Segundo, the current hotbed of defense technology. The founders have brought together a strong team of kind, intelligent, and hardworking individuals. The company has both exceptional engineers and a BD team that is far more sophisticated than what you typically find at defense technology startups of similar maturity. Picogrid is already generating revenue with products that actually work and are widely fielded. There's also a lot of work going on behind the scenes (exercises, etc.) that is laying the foundation for long-term success. This traction with customers and B2B partners creates opportunities to work with important end users as well as with other exciting companies. Engineers and BD staff have frequent opportunities to travel in support of these deployments and see Picogrid's products in action. Employees are also given meaningful ownership and the freedom to shape their own career paths.

Cons

Like any fast-scaling startup, there are growing pains as the company builds up its workforce and pursues larger opportunities. It's not a 9-to-5 environment--hours can be challenging at times, though they vary week to week. The office is a big warehouse. If you are looking for a traditional corporate setting, Picogrid may not be the right fit.

Pros

Office manager keeps the office stacked 24/7. She's the bess.

Cons

- Not a single senior engineer stays longer than a year let alone 6 months. - Nepo hires put into leadership positions that are awful leaders with poor engineering skills - Sense of direction? Never heard of her. - Enjoy getting chewed out in by a founder in front of the entire factory? Well this is the place for you! - Here's .000001% equity, low balled salary, and a 20k health insurance deductible. As an added benefit, free doordash if you stay until 7PM! - I love having a CEO that says we are combat proven in Ukraine (They turned our box on for 1hr and never used it again LOL FR) - He also knows about what the warfighter needs because he talks to the NPC soldiers on COD MW2. - I'm actually not sure what he even does tbh. - I feel secure working for a company that lets foreigners access cameras that the DOD uses for security. - Still trying to figure out what we even do TBH - No where or way to actually grow here In all seriousness. Stay away. Don't buy into any of the X or LinkedIn hype. It's all fake. Reach out to some of the engineers who have left, on LinkedIn, and get their opinions.
