Pros
None. I moved on. I am happy and content. I go to work now and LOVE it. I no longer have that dark cloud surrounding my being.
Cons
Where to start...Management is the biggest joke. I have never in my life worked for such idiots. When the Pilot merge came Thomas employees were fired enmasse. This left satellite offices to guess who to talk to, where were the files (on a pallet in Texas, 1500 miles away, now lost forever). Safety, oh my good grief. Talk about someone who is going to get blown up. Manager, with NO experience in Propane is youtubing video to set up a propane line for an install. Seriously! Safety concerns blown off by Safety department and upper elite managers. Customers. Within the first week of manager's hire, he managed to stop deliveries to customers unless they agree to buy bigger tanks. Customers left, also enmasse. Manager, threatens employees daily, rude to customers. Employees and customers are his enemy. Best buy fuel pricing. JOKE. Fire them idiots. Cars don't run on calculators. Get with a supplier and make "day deals". You all dropped the ball on that one, boys! Those "fuel buyers" failed to apply for refunds on fuel rebates offered by supplier. This was a million dollar oops, and not one person held responsible. Office staff. Hostile to say the least. Berates other office staff and drivers. Rude to customers. Drivers and oil delivery guys (no women, by the way) are treated like livestock. Expected to be on call 24/7 without benefit of pay or comp time. Dispatch. One guy who manages to re quote fuel pricing without the benefit of knowledge. One thread that remains constant in many of the reviews is "good ole boy" network. True words that. Women are treated like chattel. Poor pay with NO room for advancement. There are few women(any?) in terminal manager positions. The women they do hire have little demeaning names that they call them ,"office assistants", which would be fine if your job wasn't spent doing everything from Sales to accounting and doing the managers job. Pay is below industry standard and even competitive drivers in smaller markets get more pay. Turnover is high due to all of the above mentioned issues.
