Pros

Nothing, unless you thrive in micromanagement and enjoy no opportunities for advancement in your career.

Cons

Not sure where to begin; the lack of communication is always a huge downside, and that always leads to plenty of chaos and uncertainty. You will be punished (if not fired) if you give any honest opinions or criticisms on the annual employee survey (which are not confidential), and that might be due to upper managements fragile egos. Their philosophy regarding hiring new employees is something along the lines of they don't want to hire someone who is searching for a new job because that hints that they are not happy/successful at their current job, and Pinnacle only wants happy successful employees, so that is hard to wrap one's head around logically. They prefer not to promote from within. Opportunity for advancement or position change are minimal. You cannot roll-over PTO, it's a use it or lose it system. There are company wide meetings each quarter which are mandatory, and they take place after work. There is little to no work/home life balance; they want you to eat, breath, and dream Pinnacle. Lately, they have been firing people which little to no reasoning, so the job security is not there. The merger with BNC went poorly especially when it came to displaced employees. Interview classes were promised, but never delivered; they were essentially treated like second class citizens. Just goes to show you that if Pinnacle has no use for you, you're worth less to them than a fax machine.
