Pros
Remote work with flexibility Some genuinely nice co-workers Mental Health Fridays once a month Great clients An apparent desire to promote equality, awareness and education around issues facing the country and employees.
Cons
Remote work is difficult as big egos can run rammpant with only digital communications. 90% of my time employed at Pivot, there wasn't a HR system or process in place. All talk when it comes to supporting employees and culture. Only a few people uphold the values of the company. Mental Health Fridays aren't worth it if business operations and bad people skills make your mental health worse every other day. Despite desire to promote equality - very little equality within workforce. When speakers were brought in to discuss topics such as racism, sexism, etc. the speakers themselves would exhibit toxic and unhelpful behaviors that weren't addressed by top management.
