Pros

I’ve been working with Pixel Parlor for over five years, and during that time I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most talented and inspiring designers I’ve ever met. I work fully remotely as a freelancer, so I can’t speak to the in-office hybrid experience, but from my side the communication, trust, and support have always been exceptional. One thing I truly value is that they consistently encourage growth. They make sure you have the opportunity to learn new skills and tackle new challenges through real-life projects, not just theory. It’s a place where you’re supported in expanding your abilities and becoming better at what you do. The CEO is genuinely one of the best people I’ve worked with. Approachable, understanding, and truly invested in the team. The entire studio feels like a tight-knit, creative family, and I always feel valued and appreciated. It’s rare to find a team where the culture, talent, and collaboration are this consistently positive.

Cons

The past several years have been challenging for creative agencies in general, and Pixel Parlor is no exception. When workloads shift or staffing is tight, it’s not uncommon to step into responsibilities outside your usual role. While this can be demanding at times, it’s also understandable given industry conditions, and everyone works incredibly hard to deliver thoughtful, high-quality work despite those pressures.

Pros

It's a tight-knit crew of talented designers that have the power to create extraordinary work. Combined with Pixel Parlor's mission to work with clients seeking to make a positive impact in their communities & beyond, it's truly impressive what their small but mighty team can achieve. It's the perfect environment for creatives looking to learn new skills and grow professionally with real life hands-on experience. Pixel Parlor is committed to not only providing, but encouraging the team to lean into continuing education courses and is dedicated to making sure it's employees have a great work/life balance. Leadership is very transparent with business goals, individual expectations, and makes sure you feel in-the-loop and a part of growing the business.

Cons

Being part of a small team often means wearing many hats & juggling multiple responsibilities. If you're looking to work in a more corporate, larger company setting, PXP may not be for you.
