Pixels 360 Response
9yThis former employee is a young talented designer and we were excited to have him join the Pixels 360 team about a year ago. However, shortly after joining we realized that he had trouble staying within the client’s specifications, wants and needs. We would give him a project to work on with detailed information about what the client was looking for and what we would get back was what he “thought” was best for the client, not what they wanted. An example – he designed a business card with 4pt type - we tried to explain to him that people with 20/20 vision can see 7pt and above and his response to us was ”It looks better at 4pt”. We did address the issues with him and tried to find a way to get him to color within the lines a bit more, but it just didn’t work out and we had to let him go.
I am sorry that he has such negative feelings about our company and our leadership – we thought he was talented, but just not right for our firm. We have been in business for 15 years and we have a team of super talented designers who work very hard to meet the high expectations of our clients. We have experienced tremendous growth in the last few years and this is a direct result of our incredible team producing amazing work in sometimes shorter timeframes to exceed our client’s expectations. We do look for a certain caliber of designer – we owe that to our clients who entrust their creative work to us.
